Admin first folks. Today is the first day in TEN YEARS that there is a day off from rehearsals!! – I know, it’s scary isn’t it. This means NO COVERAGE today, because there is nothing to cover!!. Secondly, OnEurope will be handed over to That Jody and Monty tomorrow whilst I go and have a day out in Roskilde so you lot don’t have to. Apparently there will be a viking buffet and everything!!
So, yesterday at the games….
HOT
Austria, because she changed my mind and sung right well
Finland, because they performed the arse off this song and might well take it places the finns didn’t expect.
Romania, because who else could perform with a toilet seat on stage.
Greece – because this is going to get the crowd bouncing, and NERIT scared as they have no money for 2015!!
A Local pub for Local people, 16DKK a bottle, YES PLEASE!!
NOT
Ireland – because even with Mr Sheen, you can’t polish diarrhoea.
Romania – because they can be hot and not, it’s my blog. And musical loo seats and TWO Paula Sellings?!?!?!?
South African Act in the Euroclub, so memorable we dont know who she was!!
Golden Fork – Has to go to Finland because its the sort of contemporary sound the contest needs.
Silver Fork – Teo from Belarus, because he’s a cheeky chappie and, apparently, is on a completely different floor of his hotel to everyone else, but get no ideas – he’s on an Olympians hanky panky ban!! ( and their press lady sits with us… nothing wrong with a bit of ass kissing)
Bronze Fork for Props – Greece – Best prop of the day – arguably the best thing ever.
Ambidextrous performer of the year, in association with the Retail Jewellers of Ireland (!) – Sebalter – For playing both the drums AND the Violin together, at the same time!!
As I said, no work today ( boo) – but tune in tomorrow for That Monty and Jody’s first impressions of Eurovision Island. Thanks for staying with us through the first Three days!!!
Poor old Teo; having to comply with some ridiculous sex embargo. I don’t know about you but I’m always much sharper, more focused, after a bit of ‘how’s yer father’. Anyway, I’m intrigued by the Viking Banquet. Will they grill the Vikings or slow roast them in a cheese sauce?
Roskilde is nice.At least it was nice when I was there 13 years ago.
Easy to reach on your own with the train(if you are the independent type). Can’t remember if you had to change trains on the way there
The Viking museum is quite intersting. Not sure if Monty will manage to have his requested Viking helmet
Calm before the storm
