Armenia Rehearsal – A recipe book of Eurovision

This song has a little bit of many many Eurovision songs… when you can see this on Eurovision.tv you will guffaw at the amount of songs you will recognise in three minutes. It’s almost as though it is a cynical attempt to curry favour with lots of fans and juries by having bits of everything!!

But that can’t be can it???

All seven hundred of them on stage are perfectly competent in their own way, but Armenia are the try hard kid of the class that always puts it’s hand up and goes “me, miss… me me me”. Celtic elements, headdresses, trees, wind, strong anthemic building, wooden dancing, symbolism, this song has every single cliche in one three minute song shaped lump of gruel that gets ladled on your plate with a grumpy smile from the Armenian broadcaster. It even has a time warp picture in it like something out of Doctor who and a Map of the world showing where they are all from…

It’s aimed at an audience that will lap this but I don’t know if that’s Europe or just Armenia.
It’s scary though
