Ok – Lets get all of the b*llocks out of the way here. SMRTV can not organise a piss up in a brewery. This final was a shambolic concept starting with anyone entering themselves to prove, or not, if they could sing – right through the seemingly endless changes of voting system, all of which favoured Zoe Straub and her doting daddy who have clearly gone to the aforementioned SMRTV and gone “pssst – I’ve got money, wanna song?”
And that song… yes well… it’s not even sung by anyone remotely San Marinese or Italian but they’ve imported the other Bastian of bung-free competitions Malta to get some artistes. Jessika (Muscat) has put some bangers into the MSFE and yet, inexplicably, she’s been tempted to SMR and sing this shite but I guess it would have never been her turn in Malta so she took her chance somewhere else. It’s old fashioned and cheesy for the first 80 seconds and then the rap comes in and spoils the song and makes it, to me, a complete mishmash and the very definition of shoving two pieces of shite together and covering them with Sellotape.
Phil’s Score – ZERO Points – but, Europe, Jessika’s back catalogue is better than this.
