Today we go to one of those countries who have been able to get things right with the junior version of our favourite TV show. Five Top 2 places no less. But they’ve had a little less success at the big version.
If you’re from a certain country (maybe more than one), you may not like today’s choice. But a birthday’s a birthday and worth a little celebration. In 2016 we were Sweden (yawn), and watched today’s birthday girl Իվետա Մուկուչյան/Iveta Mukuchyan do her stuff for sunny Armenia (all seven of her at one point). Europe liked her and she came second in her semi-final to a certain Russian. Her fortunes in the final weren’t quite as good, but seventh was a very creditable placing.
Iveta is 35 today.
