The duet. It’s a great little set up. Two equally credited singers for the price of one, each bringing their own talents to a song. And it means the audience could like at least one of the protagonists.
Is the ideal duet a male/female one? If so, DR thought they were on the right track in 1999 when they sent today’s birthday girl Trine Randbo Jepsen, along with her pal Michael Teschl. A nice little safe-yet-strong duet amidst the heat of Jerusalem. Could it do something? Well, a ninth place wasn’t that bad. And Trine is still in the entertainment industry, playing Evita among other things.
Trine is 45 today.
