It’s been a long old day in Eurovision Land

Then we get Carola. About 700 press packed into seeing her rehearse – and the first 3 times I saw it – I thought “Blimey – she can sing this song, but its predictable and shockingly bad with flags n shit”.

When I saw it the fourth time I thought “Selma – 2005 – it’s not qualifying.”

I still don’t think it is – but hell, who knows. She dances around the stage wearing a huge blue dress top thing that she gets rid of 1/2 way through – there is lots and LOTS of choreography in this. and lots of wind (and the machines got a cheer!).

And I am still not sure – I still think its not going to qualify – but I sense I have been wrong before.

Estonia – According to a leading Estonian journalist, “It needs a lot of work”, and boy is that right. Seriously, it looks just like, well, the one before it really just less so. None of the dress, but Sandra knows how to perform this song and, according to Nick, she’s going to have to so she can qualify. I think, however, this will be just what Europe needs to get themselves over Carola.

I think that one, if not both of these songs are to the qualifying.
