The Big Five. A good thing or a bad thing? Well, they put a lot of money into our favourite TV show, so we can see those jurors in HD rather than listen to them on a patchy phone line. Hmm, maybe that’s not a good thing.
Today’s birthday girl Ann-Sophie Dürmeyer did her stuff for one of the Big Five in 2015. Germany to be precise, but you knew that already. Her country has only won twice in (seemingly) thousands of entries, so the win to loss ratio isn’t that good. But if you’re going to not win, you might as well do what poor Ann Sophie did. That is, finish last. And the only way to finish last is to make it unique. Ann Sophie is the only person (for now at least) to finish 27th in a Grand Final. Take that, Jemini.
