A morning round up

So, my morning at Eurovision 2009. I won’t even try to discuss everyone, just the three or four that had time to have any major impact on me.

I don’t hold out much hope for Belgium now. They really needed the cat to be an absolutely extraordinary, jaw-dropping presence in the act. Patrick’s the latest of many who just seem to have no voice in the last couple of days, and I hear reports that Waldo was confined to bed today. It’s looking like the worst bout of Eurovision flu ever, and ominously it’s likely to hit the late arrivals at the party at the worst possible time. Jade, if you’re reading this… I think it’s extra strength Lemsip time, right now.

Iceland’s very blue, isn’t it? There are murmurings in other places that Yohanna‘s choice of dress is a fashion disaster in the making, and the fact that I think it actually looks quite nice certainly will do nothing to dispel those fears. I think Krassimir’s choice of outfit makes sense too…

Noa and Mira seem to be coming across pretty well, still. I’ve had them pencilled in as the jury pick for a few weeks now, but I’m starting to wonder if they can bypass that and go straight through in the top 9 outright. I see no real reason why not.

I’m still liking Next Time rather a lot, I’m afraid. It’s probably just me.
