I’m continuing our look at some moments from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It takes place this coming Sunday, and will be broadcast on all good broadcaster, some dodgy ones, and the Interwebs too.
Mr Phil went to sunny Sofia in 2015 with a couple of cohorts. He made me jealous when I saw pictures of cheap and plentiful food in restaurants. That aside, the lovely Poli Genova hosted the event, and it was won by a singer from the Mediterranean’s happiest rock. That singer was Destiny Chukunyere. Her win was pretty much guaranteed. Apart from three low marks, this song was every country’s favourite or second favourite song. It’s a modern classic, and one of the best adverts for the high quality of music you’ll get at a JESC. Go on, tell me I’m wrong.
