Who doesn’t love a group? Instead of a soloist, you get a multiple of singers, musicians and dancers. Up to six, obviously. But the chances are you will have your favourite in a group.
Today’s birthday boy Casper Janebrink is the main vocalist of the Swedish group called Arvingarna. Yes, I did say Swedish, so that’s bound to pique your interest. They went way, way, way out west in 1993 and finished seventh, to an Irish win. Well it was the 1990s. But they tried again since. A further five times in fact. And they still have the same line up. Maybe Casper and his pals have no other friends, but you must give them credit for never giving up on that dream of being the next Swedish winners of our favourite TV show.
Casper is 55 today.
