Monteneg-NO!

Highway at a Meet & Greet during the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm.

Whist it is commendable for Montenegro to be experimental yet again, I don’t think there will be too many people in Europe that will get it.

The real musos will, and therefore some on the juries will tick the boxes for this, I fear that the average televoter (and they are very average) will see this as shouty noise in front of white noise background.  This will not be troubling the scorers.

And that last phrase is an issue that the contest needs to address.  Difference should be invited to the contest with open arms.  It is, after all, a musical contest and all genres and this has a place.  I wonder, though, how far the contest has to move?
