All change for the French team

French HoD

After three years leading the French Eurovision delegation, Edoardo Grassi has moved on. His replacement is Steven Clerima.

The announcement was made yesterday through the Eurovision France Twitter account. Officially, the reason for the switch is that broadcaster France2 is looking to make cost savings and would prefer to give the job to someone on their full-time payroll (Grassi was an external contractor).

Under Grassi, French fortunes changed. he turned around a run of poor results with Amir,  Alma and Madame Monsieur.

Destination Eurovision will continue despite his departure with two semi-finals and a grand final to take place in Paris next February. This time around the shows will air live.
