Yesterday evening, La Zarra performed her Eurovision song for the first time on prime time French TV.
Starting out as a classic chanson before sidetracking into 80s shufflebop with the classic Eurovision big note towards the end, we scanned Twitter to find out what fandom thinks. And if you;re still a La Zarra virgin, scroll down and enjoy the song in full.
First up, our very own Roy Delaney
That French song then. Starts off and I’m thinking “Ooh, hang about, this is promising!” The beat edges in and I’m “OK, I’ll give it a bit”, and then I kinda forgot it was on. What a shame, cos that started brilliantly, then just kinda fizzled out. Awww! #Eurovision #France

Personally, I’m so proud to be represented by this amazing artist who’s La Zarra. I believe on her and on her song Évidemment 🎶🇫🇷#EurovisionFrance #Eurovision pic.twitter.com/QcBbnXacRN

So France…I don’t mind it but it’s not incredible exactly. The second it dropped into the first hints of disco-ness I was like MOTHER but then it kinda went nowhere at all? #eurovision
