It’s very difficult for me to be critical of another broadcaster, because my own has been shit for so long, but RTE really *really* aren’t getting the memo.
Despite saying they want to get better at this Eurovision lark, there seems to be little appetite for a better Irish Final in the circles that matter at Donnybrook (and no, not the head of delegation- he is responsible, yes, but only in part).
As such we are going to get the same tired formula. Six songs on the Late Late show , which is seemingly a non-negotiable when it comes to Irish Eurovision, to be staged on Friday 26th January.
In a slight twist, they are to be relvealed one at a time on the Ray D’Arcy radio show on the week commencing the 8th January.
I bet you can’t wait!
