If you’ve ventured onto Twitter any recent Saturday evening, you’ll have noticed our favourite Contest ‘trending’. Fans across the world have been coming together to watch vintage editions of the show, tweet along together and vote. Given the UK alternative revolves around tired sitcom reruns and Mrs Brown’s Boys, it’s proving a lifeline.
It’s the idea of journalist and Eurovision fan Rob Holley. Each week at 20:00 UK time (21:00 CET), millions press play and watch the show on YouTube, whilst passing Twitter comment using the hashtag #EurovisionAgain.
To add to the fun, the year for the week is revealed just fifteen minutes beforehand through a dedicated Twitter account.
