It’s easy to see how this hoovered up points at the Festival da Canção 2024, “Grito” is a poetic take on universal themes of overcoming adversity, showcasing iolanda’s talent both as a vocalist and a storyteller.
The song’s ability to connect with listeners on an emotional level could make it a memorable and impactful piece in the competition. For me, not so much.
