So the venue and dates have been announced!

Liverpool for Eurovision 2023
Liverpool for Eurovision 2023

So after literally seconds of caring and months of you lot salivating on The Twitter and The Facebook the BBC and the EBU have announced, via the light untertainment vehicle that is The One Show, that the Eurovision 2023 will be held in Liverpool On 9th, 11th and 13th May 2023.

The M&S Bank arena, the venue chosen, will have a capacity of 11,000 so expect around a capacity of 8000-9000 when the big show comes to town.  The facilities will be seemingly be a mix of onsite and off site with the venue down by the waterfront facing the River Mersey within easy reach of the iconic Liver Building and the Cunard Building.  Liverpool is known for being the city of music, probably best known for producing Cilla Black….  and some all male foursome you might have heard of as well.

You will have to try and get some cheap accomodation though as reports suggest exorbitant prices on AirBNB for at least the contest week ( no change their then!) but I can commute in so I don’t care that much!

Further details are, of course, to be announced in due course but that wont stop the twitterverse having an opinion – I might as well just retreat back into my shell for a few days!
