We recently featured a musician who, whilst didn’t sing a note, bowed her way to victory. Today, we have another one of that category who often get overlooked – the DJ.
DJs come in many forms. Some dress as astronauts, some as schoolgirls (yes, really). And some stick to being a proper DJ. Today’s birthday boy DJ Balthazar (né Georgi Mateev) almost stayed as a proper DJ, but had a guitar of sorts as well as his flaming mixing deck. He had pals from Deep Zone that variously strutted danced and sang around him. But he got a credit, and that’s important. Even if this song did finish eleventh in its semi-final, it showed that DJs have a place in our favourite TV show.
DJ Balthazar is 48 today.
