Eurovision is a drug. Once you’ve been on that stage, you can’t get enough. You want more, and more, and more. Look at Peter, Sue & Marc. Look at Valentina Monetta. OK, we’ll stop at Peter, Sue & Marc.
Today’s birthday girl Алма Чарџић/Alma Čardžić first did her stuff 30 years ago in sunny Dublin. She liked it that much that three years later BHRT asked her to sing all the songs in a 10 song final. This meant she got to all the way to, erm, Dublin. Again. Well, in the 1990s pretty much everyone went to Dublin if they knew what was good for them. She scored 22 points from juries and televoters. And 19 years later, Alma’s song title came to pass. Maybe one day Alma will get a third go. Perhaps even in Dublin.
Alma is 56 today.
Sretan rođendan/Срећан рођендан, Alma/Алма!
