We bring you old songs, and we know you like them. Today I’m bringing you a recent song from a very unlucky country. Time after time they’ve put in respectable songs, and time after time they’ve been ignored for something else, most likely Schlager. Darn you Schlager. I am of course referring to Portugal. That land of port, interesting fish and Fado. Fado is an interesting bag, which Europe doesn’t really get. Unfortunately, Europe doesn’t really get much Portuguese music, as today’s birthday girl Leonor Andrade can testify. Her little song didn’t do that well in her semi-final. Leonor is 22 today.
