It just dawned on me …

Hartwell

I’ve been coming to this contest for a good while, and been listening to it for a fair bit longer and something just dawned on me.

In the past, and up until now really, it’s always struck me as being, despite its music content, a light entertainment show. This time round it really feels to me like it’s becoming a music show. Now I know that might sound the bleeding obvious to you, but there you are!

And watching little BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo bounce about ably on stage reminds me. There’s something billed as a zombie walk taking place in the big square at six. I feel one ought to attend. Just for the hoot, like. I’m here for the context and reportage after all!

Oh, and while I’m here – of today’s efforts, for me Belarus looked stronger and more polished than I ever wanted to be, Bulgaria is still dead cute, Israel were justifiably miffed that they’ve been blown out of the backdrop they wanted (without being informed of such until they got one stage), Georgia is fabulous and these Swissollatas are looking like they’re a given for the top five slots of the leader board on any given vote night.

Oh, and Evridiki – best frock of the lot. I’m doing my best not to feel fruitful toward her even if she is getting on for 112.

PS I finally managed to find some donuts that didn’t have beef in them.
