Stuff and Nonsense

It’s one of those slow moments in the press centre when you actually wonder why you’re here. You give up two precious weeks of leave, and kiss goodbye to a decent diet, regular sleep and sane conversation. Why am I here? To give you, dear reader, insightful comment on the lunacy of Eurovision. I love it for all its foolishness, when countries who deny national stereotypes exist then go and demonstrate why those stereotypes are there in the first place.

Anyway, now fully satiated after a decent lunch of ‘coalfish’ and potatoes, and free salad (even though you don’t make friends with salad) I’m ready for an afternoon of Hungary to Greece. iceland this morning sounded very good, and as Mr H said below, could be worth a sneaky little flutter.

What else have we had? Daria Kinzer has christened the catwalk – by walking on it just in case you were wondering. She also has two, yes two, costume changes and does interesting things with a big sparkly circular shower curtain. Malta’s performance broke the needle on my camp-o-meter, but that serves me right for buying a dodgy one in the first place. San Marino is nice. Not good, not bad, but just nice. And using more than their fair share of dry ice.

Dear reader, I’ll probably be back with some more words of twisted wisdom later. I hope that you have enjoyed your stay.
