When I saw Zala and Gašper perform this at the EMA, I really didn’t like it. They were so intense, so young and looked lost on stage. Gašper in particular. It was Everything But The Girl meets ‘Children of the Corn’.
I’ve grown to appreciate the ice-cold precision of ‘Sebi’.
It’s one of those songs that could go either way. In years to come fans might look back on it as a ‘lost classic’.
To the televoting audience, it stands a chance of floating by. The juries may see more, and (given the first semi-final contains some of the weakest entries) it should just about scratch its way into the final.
After that, I’d love to think it will do well, but I doubt it.
I can’t help remember my first impression and that wasn’t good.
