As we know, early in this century a whole heap of countries had their first wins. Some seemingly deserved, some seemingly less so. We’ll leave it to you to decide which falls into which category. buy that means a number of countries are gunning for their second win.
One such country is Estonia. It’s possibly on the cards as our Estonian friends are very musically minded. In 2022 they sent today’s birthday boy Stefan Airapetjan with a song he co-wrote. Now sometimes a winning song can come from nowhere – the ‘hiding in plain sight’ theory. As we saw things unfold in Turin/Torino, there was a brief moment when Estonia could have been that song. At least, if not a winner, then definitely a contender. As it happened, Stefan was up against a certain Ukrainian song but was seen fit to sing last in the Grand Final. Always an honour, even if he didn’t win.
Stefan is 26 today.
Palju õnne sünnipäevaks, Stefan!
