According to Italian media, Drag Race Italia favourite Luquisha Lubamba and social media influencer Elettra Miura Lamborghini are among over a thousand artists in the running for Una Voce Per San Marino, to try to represent the micro-state at the next Eurovision Song Contest .
The final round of casting takes place from tomorrow – a timetable was published yesterday – at l’Auditorium Little Tony in San Marino.
During the month of February, there will be five (count ’em) semifinals, four with acts from the open auditions and one featuring invited acts (or those who flopped in their own national finals and fancy a bit more exposure). The bum-numbing final takes place on 25 February.
Should I know who they are?
Elettra Miura Lamborghini is an Italian television personality, singer, social media influencer, and socialite. A granddaughter of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of Lamborghini, she began her career in reality television at age 22, and ventured into music in early 2018 with her debut single “Pem Pem”. Subsequent to the release of her debut studio album Twerking Queen in the summer of 2019, she served as a judge for the sixth season of The Voice of Italy in 2019.
Luquisha Lubamba is an Italian drag performer and singer, as well as one of the finalists of the first season of Drag Race Italia.
Here are the (unofficial) posts confirming this Friday-feeling news:
First off a Drag Race stan site …
Italian show business gossip site Pipol is the source of the Elettra Lamborghini rumour.
Neither artist has appeared on the casting lists as yet, suggesting they’re either lined up for one of the reserved spots or they’re already through to the last semi-final.
There. that’s your Friday Eurovision fix sorted.
