Have any of you out there ever tried to take part in our favourite TV show? Are you a part-time musician who has a ‘proper’ job? Or have you been singing at bars and shopping malls for years, hoping to get your big break?
Today’s birthday boy Sebalter (né Sebastiano Paù-Lessi) had a ‘proper’ job as a lawyer when the Swiss picked him to go to Copenhagen in 2014. But he put that all aside whilst he pursued his dream of Eurovision glory. After all, wouldn’t you? Now, as we know, the entertainment industry is a very fickle thing, and it does help to have something to fall back on. Sebalter did make a success of music, even though he did make the left-hand side of the scoreboard and it was Switzerland’s best result since 2005. Sebalter still performs, but you want him on your side if you needed legal help?
Sebalter is 36 today.
