In the Polish national final (and on MP3), this is one of my favourite songs and I had it down as easily qualifying. On stage though, they have placed Gromee in a hastily-erected DJ booth, and all he does is wave his hands to the camera like someone at a rave sponsored by Aldi. He is clearly the embarrassing uncle at family gatherings.
Lukas should be able to carry this song to where it needs to be, but he seems a touch vocally unsure at the start. He does, however, get into it by the climax. Clearly Polish broadcaster TVP has money to burn, cos they are using pyro bursts in every rehearsal.
It does looks great on stage with pink neon lights on the DJ booth, and by the third and final run through Lukas’ voice is better … apart from the very end of the song – which ruins the effect a bit – but everything looks a lot tighter.
I’m worried about his voice, but overall it’s OK. Things need to get better though.
