The keen-eyed among you will have worked out that this should have been part 26 but hey, that’s life!
Now if you are named after a rice dish, no wonder you entitle your song “Funny Girl”, but there is nothing ha ha about Laura’s missive into this contest. It’s all very serious and earnest and a bit too shouty for me, but then again that didn’t disadvantage Aminata three years ago.
The difference, though, is that Aminata did it first, and this is just a cheapo copy. The musical equivalent of a ‘ROLLX’ watch, if you will. It has all the features of the original, but it seems to have a cheapness about it (for me).
