Eesti Laul had a cosmetic makeover for its 2015 edition. There was 2 semi finals of 10 songs (pre-recorded the day before) on 7th and 14th February, each with 10 songs – 5 of which progresed to the final. The Final, on the 21st February, will have those 10 songs singing off, followed by a jury vote with (and here’s the change) the top 2 going forward to the superfinal (which was televote only).
To use more horseracing parlance, Goodbye to Yesterday won at a canter after getting through the tricky jury vote and then kicking on in the televote by scoring a massive 79% (of about 90000 televotes, ERR tell me) and it now has a very real chance of making the final in the Eurovision, and doing very well for ERR.
