Eurovision Reference Group meeting reveals precisely nothing

Fans of the Eurovision Song Contest have been eagerly awaiting news following a meeting of the Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group. We want to know dates for next year – and more importantly will Russia and Ukraine get a gentle clip around the ears or a sucker punch for political game playing that threatened to derail the 2017 competition.

The meeting happened, and the output from official channels revealed nothing. The official Eurovision Song Contest website published a report that could have been written on May 14 rather than this week.

Portugal won the last contest and that was ‘amazing’.
