“Snap” by Rosa Linn has officially become the first Eurovision song ever to land on the Billboard Year End Global Top 200 chart.

“Snap” debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 97, later peaking at number 82, and spent seven weeks at No. 1 on Adult Alternative Airplay. “After [seeing the song do well], that’s when I knew it was real,” Rosa Linn says. “‘Snap’ gave me the best and most productive year of my life.”

A few months after Eurovision, the song went viral on social media platform TikTok, leading to an increase of streams on Spotify and topping the daily viral charts in various countries. As of yesterday, the song has surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify.

Global hit

“Snap” entered numerous other national charts, surpassing the Ukrainian winning song, “Stefania” by Kalush Orchestra, for the most chart entries by a Eurovision song from 2022.

So far, the song has reached the top of the chart in the Flanders region of Belgium and the top ten in Austria, Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. In the United Kingdom, the song peaked at number 21 on the UK Singles Chart, making Rosa Linn the highest-charting foreign act from Eurovision 2022 in the UK.

Major label deal

The success of a song that didn’t even come close to winning at Eurovision led to a major-label deal with Columbia Records, which Rosa Linn signed in August. The label has already set the artist up with top songwriters and producers, including a recent session in Los Angeles with Diane Warren and Dan Wilson.

Rosa Linn will be opening for Ed Sheeran’s “Mathematics” 2023 U.S. tour among other artists like Russ, Dylan, Cat Burns, Maisie Peters and Khalid.
