…in fact, after all their talk and bluster and stuff they have actually released a song for the Eurovision Song Contest in May!
Sung by the previously revealed Claude it was released at 16:15 CET (a very strange time indeed) and, as usual, it couldn’t be straightforward as it was leaked online and played on Dutch radio (If you leaked it, please do us all a favour and fuck off)
On Avrotros’ website Claude says:
“C’est La Vie” is a tribute to a parent, and for me, that’s my mother. As a little boy and throughout my childhood, she taught me to see the positive in the things you experience in life, even when you face setbacks. Even if things seem very dark for a while, there’s always a glimmer of hope to focus on. That’s exactly the message I want to convey. Life isn’t always easy; it goes up, it goes down, and around and around, but “C’est La Vie!”
