The ten songs vying to represent Iceland in the 2020;Eurovision Song Contest are available online.
Broadcaster RÚV yesterday revealed the Söngvakeppnin 2020 lineup. Five songs will compete in the first semi-final in Reykjavík on Saturday, 8 February, and five more in the second semi-final a week later on 15 February. Two songs qualify from each heat to the grand final on 29 February. The organisers may add a fifth ‘wildcard’ to the final.
All songs in the semi-finals will be sung in Icelandic, but the acts get to choose in which language they perform during the final.
RÚV recently signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with Netflix, part of which will help support the 2020 Eurovision entry.
