1 April – So unbelievable

We can now say that our favourite TV show takes place next month. It’s getting exciting I’m sure you’ll agree. The various Eurovision parties around Europe only heighten the expectation that [insert country here] will win.

Today’s birthday boy almost won. He was in the contest that saw the first use of the enhanced scoring system that separated jury and televotes. And by thunder (and lightning) it made things very exciting. Would he – Серге́й Вячесла́вович Ла́зарев/Sergey Vyacheslavovich Lazarev – triumph? Or would it go to one of his neighbour countries, or that honorary Eurovision nation who showed the contest at stupid o’clock local time. His time didn’t come, but many of the fans still like him. And I’m sure it’s nothing to do with his abs.

Sergey is 35 today.

С днем рождения, Сергей!
