If you think your country is unlucky, spare a thought for Portugal. In 48 attempts to bring the Grand Prix home, the best they’ve managed is a sixth place. Yes, I’ll grant that they managed a runner-up spot in a semi-final in Belgrade, but this became a 13th place in the Grand Final.
