Well whilst this morning (11th December) has been a busy one in the old Eurovision sphere – it seems that the main news has been overlooked. A Czech TV Press release now takes up the story.
“Czechia will once again participate in the largest Song Contest in 2025. ADONSX, whose real name is Adam Pavlovcin, a 29 year old artist known not only as the last winner of SuperStar Czech Slovakia from 2021, but also for his distinctive visual presentation and unique pop approach, will compete for the win at Eurovision. The Upcoming international competition will be hosed in Basel, Switzerland next May. In a show of confidence and support, the national broadcaster, CT, is moving the competition to their main CT1 Channel.”
Well it’s a short resume but big on actual things. First off it would be the first time since 2007 that CT1 would host any/all of the shows which is always a positive thing when a broadcaster does this. It also seems that they have complete faith in Adam who has a British connection namely by studying Songwriting and Creative Musicianship at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in London, gaining a first class degree no less.
His musical experience goes far beyond Super-Star. Before the competition he was in a band called PACE which he fronted for five years in the mid 2010s before that horrid virus put a stop to the band in 2020.
He also dances, being crowned the Slovak Street dancing champion, Models extensively and acts as well – could this man be the next Madonna one asks oneself. Here is is singing in that Idols Final and yes, his voice wasn’t what I was expecting!
The song should be out in the new year.
