After promising Eurovision Song Contest fans a public national final, ČT (Czech TV) has announced it will be ‘business as usual’ when picking a song for the 2020 Rotterdam competition.
The Czech Republic was the first nation to confirm its place at the 2020 contest along with ambitious plans for a peak time national final aired live on CT1. With a new Head of Delegation in charge, the broadcaster used Facebook this week to confirm another online competition.
A press conference sees the seven participating artists named on 6 January and online voting starts on 13 January, ending on 26 January, with the winner named shortly afterwards.
ČT previously confirmed 152 songs have been submitted for consideration this year.
