ESCZ crowns Vesna for Eurovision

The Czech Republic is set to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom, with “My Sister’s Crown” performed by Vesna.

Five entries participated in ESCZ – the competition to pick a song for Eurovision – which took place on 30 January 2023 at the Kavčí Hory television centre in Prague. The results were announced this evening following a week of online voting.

Led by Patricie Fuxová, the band’s permanent members come from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia. Shortly after their win was announced the group took to Twitter: “WOW! We just have became the official winner of escz 2023 This is the greatest honour for us to represent Czech republic on this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Thank you fans from all around the world for your support and votes we are ready for you Liverpool.”
