‘Lige her’ er faktisk en smuk sang! Tillykke til Soren. Det er ikke fordi at jeg vill oedelagge det for nogen, men hvorfor lyder den rigtig meget som ‘Skibet Skal Sejle i Nat’?

This is actually a beautiful song and concratulations to Soren who sings it elegantly but why does it sounds like:

Come on Denmark! We need stand out songs! OK, this years selection is better than the last couple of years which is actually exciting! Denmark has a tendency to be sending nice friendly and non-offensive songs, and that is all a part of the Danish culture clearly; but in Eurovision, nice songs drown and dissapear in a sea of crazy, interesting and different stand out songs. If there is any formular for a winning song in Eurovision, it is that, usually it’s the song which goes against the grind and is different to the rest!

So, ‘Freedom’ is a good contribution. It sounds professional and could do well. Only problem is that it is trying to be ‘Maneskin’ and it is therefore following a trend instead of taking a risk and having it’s own identity. It could win this years Dansk MGP 2023.

‘Lige her’ is a beautiful song and it is song well by Soren but sounds like the very first Danish entry to Eurovision in 1957 ‘Skibet skal sejle i nat’. Is it too close to sounding like another previous song in Eurovision?

‘Beautiful Bullshit’ has a good catchy title and a good catchy tune. It’s fresh, fast, disco and it it song well. Is it a stand out song? Not in any way or form. Not different enough.

‘Human’ is also a pretty traditional pop ballade however Mariyah LeBerg sings it really well and she is the stand out element with this entry. Her singing style is unusual and interesting which is why this song could do better in Eurovision than most of the entries this year.

Finally, ‘breaking my heart’ is well produced and actually the most interesting song this year from Denmark. it is also very modern and less mainstream in it’s composition, production and delivery by the singer Reiley. This one could win Dansk MGP 2023. I’d be quite happy if it did.
