Never forget your roots. That’s what my barber always says to me when he sees the odd stray gray hair. And it’s the same with our favourite TV show. Those old black and white contests may seem a little dated but they give us a nice idea of life in Europe in the 1950s and 1960s. And what’s your favourite black and white contest? Now our Danish friends missed the first one but they did the next one in costume. Birthday girl Birthe Wilke did her bit dressed as a fish worker, saying goodbye to a sailor. Good times. Birthe is 79 today.
