Malta want to win this. They really want to win this. Most years there is hushed talk that someone might be trying to cheat and mentioning no names, but the same country tends to crop up in said hushed talk. Year in, year out. Most times their entry involves a Vella or a Borg and sounds either like a reject from a Disney musical or the sort of track they use on bathroom cleaner ads, but they do OK.
