Olly and Graham have a bit of an old chinwag!

Imagine my surprise, dear reader, when the following press release came through from the lovely people at the BBC.

“The BBC today confirms one-off special, Eurovision 2024: Graham meets Olly, where Eurovision legend Graham Norton meets this year’s UK act, Olly Alexander, for a one on one chat about the upcoming much loved contest to be held in Malmö, Sweden in May.

Olly talks candidly to Graham about the upcoming competition. And as an extra treat for Eurovision fans, Olly will reveal the first full play of the music video on TV for his Eurovision song “Dizzy”.

BRIT and BAFTA award nominee, Olly is the United Kingdom’s most high-profile Eurovision act in many years, and brimming with excitement, Olly talks passionately to Graham about his love of Eurovision, his fond memories of the annual singing contest, and how it feels to represent the United Kingdom on the Eurovision stage.

The clock is ticking, and with just two months to go before Olly heads to Malmö, he is in competition mode. He and Graham, both self-confessed Eurovision obsessives, analyse the competition, and give their initial thoughts on some of the acts that Olly will be up against.

As Eurovision gets ever closer, this special reveals the excitement and pressure felt by Olly Alexander, the artist representing the United Kingdom in Sweden on the 50th Anniversary of ABBA’s victory in 1974.

Eurovision 2024: Graham meets Olly airs Friday 1st March at 10:40pm on BBC One and Player”

Now – it does mean staying up late – but hey, worth it.
